Introduction

This is the longest and most professional model in the POLICE telescopic baton range, measuring 26" or 74 centimeters once deployed — enough to both impress (and deter?) any potential attacker, but also, if necessary, to strike them forcefully while keeping them at a respectable distance, sufficient to prevent any counterattack.

Overview

This is typically a baton designed for professional use, or at the very least for protection and self-defense that is as effective as it is forceful — something every "at-risk" shopkeeper will appreciate, particularly when keeping such an accessory close at hand near the cash register.

Construction

The POLICE telescopic baton, produced by the Czech company ESP, consists of 3 segments made of black anodized hardened steel, locked by friction. It is available in three different lengths — 16", 21", and 26", the model presented here, i.e. 74 centimeters — a substantial length which, combined with the length of the wielder's arm, delivers extreme force to the end ball for a particularly violent and painful impact on the attacker, more than enough to immobilize them with pain and/or send them running without a second thought.

Usage

The principle for opening and deploying the segments always remains the same: a sharp, forceful rotating flick of the wrist to extend the segments and lock them in place by friction. The same routine applies to closing the baton after use — tap the tip against the ground with small strokes until the segments "unlock" and slide back into one another.

Holster

A belt holster suited to the length of the handle is supplied with the baton, rotating 360° and fitted with a height-adjustable belt loop. The braided nylon strap keeps the baton firmly in place while preventing any accidental removal until its push button has been undone.

The handle, like the other models in the POLICE series, is covered with rubber that is both comfortable for the wielder and textured for unmatched grip.

Maintenance

To prevent premature wear of the various segments (as they lock by friction, and friction means wear), simply disassemble them after each use in wet (rain) or dirty conditions (dropped on the ground, in sand, etc.) and clean them individually with a damp cloth, then dry them thoroughly.
To do this, unscrew the rear cap, which allows each segment to be removed.
