Description

Telescopic defense batons all deploy with a violent rotating flick of the wrist, wedging the segments together by friction, somewhat like a fishing rod, but (much) more forcefully. While the motion is dramatic and deterring, it does have its drawbacks.

Construction

The ESP Easy Lock ExBT-20H telescopic baton, with a deployed length of 20" (51 cm), is made of steel hardened by heat treatment and coated with a black anti-friction, anti-corrosion protection.
It consists of 4 main elements: its 3 segments and its cylindrical striking tip, to which must be added the rear control/disassembly button and the substantial rubber coating that serves as the handle, providing both great comfort and flawless grip thanks to its heavily textured surface.
An adjustable-height belt holster completes the set, made of rigid, 360°-rotating polyamide, closing over the baton with a push-button Cordura strap.
