Overview

Here is a product that elegantly expands the range of recreational shooting fun — the long-tailed fluorescent dart pellet.

This dual-material projectile features a pointed brass tip at the front and a long profiled polymer tail in fluorescent color at the rear.

Slightly heavier than traditional diabolo pellets at 0.6 grams, the 4.5 mm DART pellet is designed for break barrel single-shot air guns, both handguns and long guns.

At 28 mm overall length, this pellet can only be used with single-shot barrel-loading guns, making it incompatible with cylinder-based systems.

The 0.6 gram weight is concentrated toward the front of the projectile, giving it a violent impact on target while steepening its ballistic curve and limiting its range.

Usage

The impact violence is surprisingly impressive — despite appearances, this projectile can penetrate metal cans thicker than standard beverage cans at impressive distances of around 15 meters, provided you have a rifle delivering 20 joules. A slight loss of vertical accuracy at this distance can be compensated by aiming a few centimeters above the target.

The nylon tail, approximately 20 mm long, is profiled to 4.5 mm diameter to function as a skirt for optimal propulsion. It comes in 2 fluorescent colors — green and pink — making it visible at long range to easily spot your point of impact and correct your next shot, or to find missed projectiles.

Packaged in boxes of 10 (5 green, 5 pink), these dart pellets open up numerous possibilities for fun competitions among friends or family — from indoor cork target shooting with air pistols at close range under 5 meters, to outdoor target shooting at 10-15 meters with 20-joule rifles, to high-level plinking on tin cans (and other objects) at 15 meters and beyond for the best shots.
