The Piranha BTL1-16 telescopic baton is a 16-inch model, 40.8 cm once open, made from aluminum and steel to combine light weight, rigidity and durability. Folded, it measures just 18.5 cm, keeping it compact for transport and storage.

Its 22.5 mm diameter gives it a balanced structure, while its rated weight of 81 grams contributes to quick handling. This model is fitted with a built-in ceramic glass breaker as well as a belt clip, handy for carrying on suitable gear.

Its heavily ridged handle offers a more secure, stable grip, with a texture that improves hold. The button at the rear of the handle also plays a functional role in the overall retention.

Deployment works like a friction baton, with a sharp motion, while retraction stands out for its particularly easy-to-use button system. Pressing the rear unlocking button releases the segments for a smooth, controlled, progressive re-insertion.
