The product comes as white grease in a 30 ml tube, allowing for numerous precise applications on choke threading. It keeps well as long as it is stored away from moisture and sunlight, in a confined space.
Chokes, used to constrict the barrel of a shotgun to concentrate the shot pattern, are subject to deterioration from firing and weather conditions. Without maintenance, they become increasingly difficult to operate due to corrosion and oxidation. A completely seized choke can pose a serious risk, potentially ruining the barrel and therefore the weapon, if it cannot be properly removed.
