Introduction

BORNER has developed a genuine range of CO2-powered airguns, each model with its own characteristics and personality. The W3000 is clearly designed for versatile use — paper target shooting and recreational shooting — with a fairly pronounced leaning toward plinking, confirmed by the presence of dual fiber-optic sights on the front and rear sight, ideal for ultra-fast target acquisition against moving targets, such as metal cans set dancing.

Description

The BORNER W3000 features a metal slide in a dark brown and brown two-tone finish that only really becomes apparent on a second look, giving this pistol a rather original appearance.

Access to the loading block is achieved by pulling back the double U-shaped panel, which fully clears it. Inside you'll find the 12-gram CO2 cartridge that delivers 3 joules of energy to the W3000, as well as the removable 18-round magazine for 4.5 mm steel BBs.

The bottom of the ABS grip panel is broadly curved to fit the shape of a hand, features an upper beavertail-style stop, and the front of the grip offers perfect finger placement, giving this pistol commendable ergonomics, an excellent hold, and an impeccable grip.

The slide is fixed and features well-defined forward-facing serrations, giving the W3000 an elegant sense of motion.

Sighting is classic, with a fixed front and rear sight, upgraded with effective fiber optics: the orange front sight fiber lines up perfectly between the two green fibers of the rear sight, resulting in aiming that is both fast and precise.

Finally, an almost essential feature for a recreational shooting gun, the Picatinny/Weaver rail located under the barrel allows for endless customization by adding a laser pointer, a tactical flashlight, or, best of all, a combination of both.
